Professional consultant? Musician? Church or small business? This level of site is perfect for keeping a fresh online presence. Maintain the content yourself to keep the most accurate, timely information in front of visitors. Change it every day if you want. A florist, for instance, might create a “Today’s Bouquet” special. A musician might upload photos from last night’s gig. If you’re a consultant, you should be blogging everyday to attract potential customers. Display your company’s products and/or details about your services. Include a link to PayPal so you can accept credit card payments. (Sorry, this level of site is not geared toward a large retail operation.)
Here’s the deal:
- You must be computer literate;
- You must live in the Nashville, Tennessee, or surrounding area;
- You must be somewhat familiar with how to use Microsoft Word or similar software;
- You must have an email account;
- If you want to sell something, you must open a PayPal account;
- You must be a small business corporation, partnership or proprietorship, and;
- You must be able to produce a good amount of the content prior to our first training session.
For $600, payable in advance, I will present several site designs for you to choose from. Customized graphics are included.

- Unlimited posts (posts are similar to pages and show up in your menus like pages)
- Three 90-minute sessions of training — in your home or office, on your own computer — on how to add or change your website content from any browser window: I’ll show you how to add Pages and Posts and how to Tag them correctly to be picked up by search engine robots; I’ll show you how to add Images, and YouTube Videos. And we’ll go over how to format your text to make the Content look terrific, such as how use Blockquotes and how to make Lists.

- Membership Forum: $150 (includes 60 minutes training) You can have people “join” your site and host a blog to attract visitors.
- Events Calendar: $120 (includes 60 minutes training)
- Events Online Registration: $120 (includes 60 minutes training)
- Photo Gallery: $120 (includes 60 minutes training)
- Press Kit: $120 (includes 60 minutes training) If you’re a musician or band, I can create an online, downloadable press kit — bio, publicity photos, plus a discography for you — all things you need to do business in today’s marketplace.
- Discography with same-page sample playback: $50
- Forms: $60 and up
- Streaming video or podcast: $60 and up
- Add advertising: $60 and up – I will train you how to manage it.
- I do video post-production if you have video that needs edited. Then I can post it on YouTube for you. Price varies per project.
- I can take photos if you need them. Price varies per project.
- I can design new business cards and/or letterhead for you that match your custom website graphics. Inexpensive printing is available online; if I upload your graphics to Staples, they’ll even mail the cards to your doorstep free.
- I can also train others in your company to maintain the site on your behalf.
The $600 site requires WordPress, PHP and MySQL software, so I prefer to host this type of site on our server. We can host your site at our location for $60 a year, which is $5 a month. Even GoDaddy can’t do better than that.
If you are not up to personally maintaining your own site, I will be happy to take care of these things for you for reasonable compensation.
